Pair of WW1 British relic metal water bottles found in the battlefields of the Somme, France, offered in authentic as-found condition. These are characterful pieces of Great War history, ideal for collectors of WW1 militaria, battlefield relics and objects connected to the Western Front. the sale is for both water bottles.

These original relic water bottles have the unmistakable surface wear, rust, flaking and age-related deterioration expected from metal objects that have spent over 100 years in the ground. One bottle has a visible dent and there is a small split to one, both shown in the photographs and consistent with their battlefield-found condition. Displayed as they are, they make an evocative collector’s piece and a tangible reminder of the soldiers, landscapes and history of the Somme during the First World War.
