SHIPPING TO THE EU and NI

Recent EU legislation for GPSR affecting all countries in the EU and NI states that items first placed on the EU or NI markets before 13th December when this became effective can no longer be posted without an excessive amount of paperwork and costs. The requirements a small business needs to continue operating within the constraints of this legislation is unviable for most small businesses or sole trader. However, most of our pieces are exempt from this as they were bought preowned in France where they were first available to the markets before the December cut off date. As a precaution we are only shipping to the EU on request in order to make sure we comply. We continue to ship most of our items without interruption to NI. As this is an EU regulation it does not affect UK orders or customers in the USA, Canada, Australia or any other countries outside the EU, where we continue to post

SHIPPING TO COUNTRIES OUTSIDE THE EU (USA, Canada, Australia etc)

International shipping will be by Royal Mail International Tracked, Evri international or Tracked UPS. As a small business it difficult to navigate the various import charges, VAT and local taxes across all the countries we post to. In order to continue to offer overseas shipping we do not collect local or country taxes, VAT or import duties. This means that as the buyer, you are responsible for VAT and import costs in your country. This varies depending on your location. If there are duties, VAT or taxes to be paid to your local customs department, you are contacted by your national delivery provider who will collect and process your payment before delivery. This is usually by email but it is advisable to check tracking as this will also keep you updated with any next steps needed. Please contact us if you have any problems, we are always happy to help. We cannot be held responsible for any delays at customs. Unfortunately, this is outside our control.

NOT COLLECTED OR RETURNED ORDERS

If an item, is shipped outside the UK and it is not collected or it is returned by the courier as refused/customs not paid then we will refund the original purchase price less any reasonable losses incurred by ourselves. Outward shipping is not refunded on overseas returns shipped outside the EU unless the item arrives damaged. Please contact us if you wish to return an item for instructions before shipping.
