Shipping policy

All Things French Store ships all vintage orders on the next working day unless otherwise stated at checkout. (Taps are 3-5 working day) Orders placed on a Friday are dispatched on Monday.

Domestic postage - All standard size* website orders are shipped free fully tracked by Royal Mail to Mainland UK addresses including Scottish Highlands & Islands. We ship to the Channel islands and IOM for £1.99. *Parcels exceeding Royal Mail size or bladed items are usually shipped with Yodel or Fed Ex Large Parcel Service. Parcelforce 24 is available at a supplement.

We also offer express delivery options at checkout for a small supplement. 

Northern Ireland postage - Whilst NI remains a part of the UK, in line with current EU safety legislation some items we sell are not available to NI addresses. This mostly only affects up cycled electrical items eg. lamps, taps and new items.

Following the introduction of the Windsor Framework in May 25 we can no longer post any order to business addresses in NI - we continue to send to residential addresses without any issues at competitive prices using either Royal Mail or Yodel.

Local Pick Up - All items bought from our website can be collected from PR25 in Lancashire. If you would like to collect an item, please select Cash on Collection option at checkout. Where a larger item is for collection only, we are happy to have your own courier collect. Please contact us and arrange to pay by BACS transfer and advise us of the collection time and date.

International shipping including Channel Islands

  • International shipping will be fully tracked by Royal Mail International or DPD. This can take 5-15 working days.
  • Tracking is added to your order at dispatch.
  • Buyer is responsible for any local or country taxes and any import duties (except USA) which are payable at delivery - DDP prices available on request.
  • USA orders include taxes, see the USA shipping section below for details.
  • Please be aware that for international orders we cannot be held responsible for any delays at customs. Unfortunately, this is outside our control.
  • If an item, is shipped outside the UK and it is not collected or it is returned by the courier as refused/customs not paid then we will refund the original purchase price less any reasonable losses incurred by ourselves.
  • Outward shipping is not refunded on overseas returns unless the item arrives damaged.
  • Any local taxes or import duties are the responsibility of the customer at delivery (except USA where these are now included).

*UPDATED August 25* - USA Orders - Following the recent introduction of new import tariffs in August, all our USA prices now includes all import taxes. There will be no surprise costs at delivery - these have been paid by ourselves prior to shipping.

GPSR and EU/NI orders - 

A new EU regulation (GPSR) came into effect on 13 December, which adds extra paperwork and costs for certain items first placed on the EU or NI markets after that date.

The good news is that most of our pieces remain unaffected as they are pre-owned treasures originally bought in France and were available before the new rules began.

We are still happily shipping to Northern Ireland and the EU with great rates. If something you love isn’t showing as available for delivery to you, just get in touch and we can confirm whether it can safely be sent.

This change only affects the EU and NI, so UK and international orders are continuing as normal.

Copper and brass taps -are usually shipped within 3-5 working days as all our taps are made to order. If you need these quickly, please contact us via live chat or email before buying. We will do our best to help.

Items only available in the UK - Due to the nature of some of the items we sell not all our items can be posted outside the UK; where this is possible there will be a note at the bottom of the description. If you wish to buy an item that is not listed with international postage, please contact us and we will check to see if this is an available option. We cannot usually post taxidermy, militaria or bladed items.

As we travel back and forth to France during the summer months, on occasions, shipping times will be 2-3 working days, this will be updated in the shipping profiles so orders will always show an accurate delivery date.

*Royal Mail no longer ship bladed items on their standard service. Any orders containing bladed items will be shipped by Yodel*
