NI & EU Shipping- Import VAT, Taxes and Custom Charges

SHIPPING TO THE EU and NI

A new EU regulation (GPSR) came into effect on 13 December, which adds extra paperwork and costs for certain items first placed on the EU or NI markets after that date.

The good news is that most of our pieces remain unaffected as they are pre-owned treasures originally bought in France and were available before the new rules began.

We are still happily shipping to Northern Ireland and the EU with great rates. If something you love isn’t showing as available for delivery to you, just get in touch and we can confirm whether it can safely be sent.

This change only affects the EU and NI, so UK and international orders are continuing as normal.

Although NI is part of the UK, following the introduction of the Windsor Framework in May 25 we can no longer post any order to business addresses in NI - we continue to send by Royal Mail or Yodel at competitive prices, to residential addresses without any issues.

Import Duties & Taxes.

Some countries may apply import VAT, customs duties, or handling fees on orders arriving from overseas. These charges are usually collected by your national postal service (e.g., Canada Post, Australia Post) before delivery.

Please note that payment of any import duties or taxes is the responsibility of the buyer. We recommend checking with your local postal service or government website for the most up-to-date information before placing an order.

For deliveries to Ireland and most EU countries, we are able to offer shipping inclusive of duties paid (DDP). If you would like a quote for this service, please contact us before purchasing.

SHIPPING TO the Channel Islands

We ship most items to the Channel Islands at the very competitive price of £1.99 by Tracked Royal Mail. Please check with your local post office as to whether import duties or VAT are payable.

CUSTOMS

We cannot be held responsible for any delays at customs. Unfortunately, this is outside our control.

NOT COLLECTED OR RETURNED ORDERS

If an item, is shipped outside the UK and it is not collected or it is returned by the courier as refused/customs not paid then we will refund the original purchase price less any reasonable losses incurred by ourselves. Outward shipping is not refunded on overseas returns shipped outside the EU unless the item arrives damaged. Please contact us if you wish to return an item for instructions before shipping.
