A striking and increasingly hard-to-find set of six vintage Goebel Oeslauer sectioned plates, made in Bavaria, West Germany, dating from around the 1970s, possibly a little earlier.

Originally produced as fondue plates, these are generously sized — closer to a modern dinner plate — and their divided sections make them exceptionally practical for entertaining. Ideal for party food, buffets, or shared tables, they allow flavours to be kept separate while still presenting beautifully.

Goebel pottery and tableware is widely collected, and complete matching sets are becoming more difficult to source.
