A beautiful and increasingly hard-to-find vintage French Le Creuset cast iron bean pot, sourced from a traditional brocante market in northern France.

Finished in the iconic Volcanic (Flame) orange enamel, this example carries the Le Creuset maker's mark on the underside of the lid and appears to date from approximately the 1960s to late 1970s. Interestingly, unlike many examples from the period that feature the familiar cream enamel interior, this pot has an unusual blue-grey enamel interior, suggesting it may be an earlier production variant.

Condition

Sold in a good vintage condition. The cooking surface retains its original blue-grey enamel and remains clean and intact with no damage to the interior enamel. There are a few small nibbles around the rim, consistent with decades of careful use, but nothing that detracts from either its appearance or functionality.
