A characterful and authentic vintage French enamel door number “162”, sourced from a traditional brocante market. This is an older example with charming wear consistent with age, made from thick enamelled steel in a less common colour: brown numerals on a white background.

Its unusual 18 × 9 cm size is slightly different from the classic 15cm × 10 cm French standard, suggesting it may originate from Belgium, where this style and palette are also used. A striking yet understated piece of European street history, perfect for adding personality to a country cottage, farmhouse porch, garden gate or front door.

A wonderful collectible for lovers of French décor, enamelware, or unique architectural pieces.
