• One side is titled 'Siege de La Rochelle'.
• Reverse titled 'La Misere ou temps de la Fronde' - ("Poverty (or Misery) during the time of the Fronde") This refers to the severe hardships, famine, and economic devastation suffered by the French common people. The Fronde was a series of violent civil wars that tore France apart between 1648 and 1653, primarily driven by heavy taxation and rebellions against the monarchy by nobles and the Parisian courts
