Vintage French Copper & Brass Oil Lamp – Gaur Villedieu Stamp – Glass Chimney

This vintage French oil lamp is a beautiful example of traditional Villedieu copper craftsmanship, made by Gaur, a respected French maker known for quality metalwork.

The lamp features a solid copper body with brass trim and a clear glass chimney — all in good polished condition. The maker’s stamp “Gaur” and the Villedieu mark are clearly visible, a testament to its authenticity and French heritage.

Dating from around the 1970s, this lamp has been lovingly cleaned and repolished. The wick is new, so initially a little stiff, but it will soften naturally once soaked with lamp oil. (Please note: no oil is supplied for safety during shipping.)
