This large Country Corner style wooden 3D wall picture features the wonderfully nostalgic “Capt. Jacobs Flying Club – New Members Welcome” design, complete with a raised three-dimensional red biplane flying across a painted country landscape.

Personally sourced at a French brocante market, this substantial piece of vintage aviation wall décor has the distinctive dimensional construction that makes these wooden pictures so decorative and collectable in France. Rather than simply being a flat print or sign, the aeroplane projects from the painted background to create an eye-catching relief effect.

With its early aviation theme, aged colours and large arched wooden frame, it would make an unusual statement piece for a study, office, games room, home bar, workshop or aviation-themed interior.

Estimated to date from approximately the 1990s to early 2000s.

    Condition & Authenticity

This is an authentic vintage item sourced personally from a French brocante market and is sold in vintage condition. There are age-related marks, surface wear and signs of previous use around the picture and wooden frame. There is also a small area of damage to the top of the aeroplane wing; however, the aeroplane is complete. Please study all photographs carefully as these form an important part of the condition description.

The age-related wear is consistent with its vintage character and history.
