This is a lovely French white and blue speckled enamel irrigator or douche, now ideal as a kitchen storage pot or garden planter. These vintage enamel pots date from around 1930/1940s and were originally used as irrigators but are now widely collected and used as planters, as kitchen utensils pots, shower caddies & toothbrush pots or even as a quirky string or wool dispensers, the list is endless. As the back is flat with a hole for hanging on a wall or shed and it has a built in spout, these type of vintage enamel pieces are particularly good as planters and would add a vintage country cottage feel to any garden. They also make a quirky shower caddy for a vintage style bathroom. This was purchased at a traditional French market. As shown in the photos this is in a vintage condition with signs of wear and tear. This is 19cm high and the diameter is 14cm. Capacity is 2 litre.
