Vintage Couscous Bowls Set of 6 – Primula Italy French Brocante

A characterful set of six vintage couscous bowls by Primula, Made in Italy and decorated for the French market, sourced as a vintage French brocante find.

Each generously sized cream bowl features a colourful hand-decorated couscous illustration with French wording. The set includes two Cous Cous Algérien, two Cous Cous Marocain and two Cous Cous Tunisien bowls, celebrating Algerian, Moroccan and Tunisian styles of this much-loved North African dish.

Stamped Primula – Made in Italy and “decorata a mano” (decorated by hand) to the bases, the bowls have a warm cream glaze with subtle speckling and colourful food illustrations. Their French text makes them particularly appealing as an unusual piece of vintage French-market tableware.

At approximately 21cm (8.25 inches) in diameter, these are substantial individual bowls, ideal for serving couscous, tagines, grain dishes, pasta, salads and hearty Mediterranean-style meals. The complete set of six also makes an attractive choice for relaxed family dining or entertaining.
