A pair of rare vintage extending car mirrors, beautifully aged and full of character. These were purchased at a traditional French brocante market, where the seller shared that they had belonged to his father, who mounted them on his Renault over 50 years ago.
Each mirror is marked on the back with “TP-RT III 77” and finished in chrome, showing natural age-related pitting consistent with long-term use and storage. The mirrors themselves are intact and functional.
This is a rare extending model, designed to be used in either the short position for regular driving or extended for towing — an uncommon and desirable feature among collectors of vintage motoring accessories.
We’re including the original handmade mounting brackets made by the previous owner. (No screws supplied.)
