A beautifully preserved set of six vintage French St Amand Majolica oyster plates, dating to the 1960s–1970s, complete in their original box labelled in French "Assiettes À Huîtres "

Sourced from a traditional French brocante, these plates are a classic example of mid-century French tableware. Each plate features the characteristic scallop shell wells designed for serving oysters on the half shell, traditionally arranged with lemon wedges and accompaniments in the central well.

The glazed green and white majolica finish has a softly aged tone that suits country cottage, French farmhouse and coastal interiors. All six plates are in good vintage condition and the set remains complete — a rarity. The original cardboard box shows visible wear consistent with age and storage, as shown in photos.

These plates were originally used for oyster service, a longstanding French dining tradition, but they also work beautifully today for:
