Vintage Glass Ceiling Light for Living Room, French Pendant Hanging Lampshade (B16)

This is a French vintage opaline glass coolie pendant light with its original brass gallery ready for your own bulb holder and wiring. This vintage pendant lightshade is in a used condition as shown in the photos with no cracks. It is made from white milk glass with a clear rim, known as a pie crust light or coolie light. This is not a factory made shade, it is handmade so may have some bubbles and light marks in the glass from the making process. There are the usual few nibbles to the top section under the brass fitment. It was bought at a traditional French brocante market. This is not sold with a bulb holder, wiring or a ceiling rose as the French roses are usually much smaller than standard UK versions. The brass gallery takes a standard UK size bulb holder (not supplied) There is a small selection of vintage porcelain roses in the lighting section of the shop alongside more of these shades, some are sold with wiring and a bulb holder. This is sold as shown with just the shade and brass gallery - no wiring or bulb holder. 
All the items we sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life, in the case of lights like these this may mean flaws in the glass during the making process, eg. bubbles. This is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal. As such, if you are looking for something 'new' then this is probably not for you.
