French House Number 56, Vintage Enamel Number 56 Sign, Door Number Plaque

This is an original French enamel door number sign No. 56, sourced from a traditional French brocante market.
Unlike modern reproductions, this is a genuine vintage enamel plaque, made from thick metal and designed to last for decades. Traditionally, these enamel house numbers were issued by the local mayor or council in France, and not sold in shops. Some villages over the years have changed the colours from the usual blue and white to red, green or in this case beige with a brown number.
