Vintage French Poubelle de Table – Ceramic Table Bin with Cork Lid & Grape Design

A vintage French brocante find, this traditional ceramic Poubelle de Table is a characterful piece of French kitchenalia designed to sit on the dining table and discreetly collect small amounts of mealtime waste.

Traditionally used in French homes for items such as olive stones, seafood shells, fruit pips, bones and cocktail sticks, this vintage tabletop waste pot is both practical and decorative. It features a charming grape motif, an unusual rope-style handle and a removable cork lid with a shaped notch for easy lifting.

Its compact size makes it ideal for placing on a dining table, kitchen counter or farmhouse dresser, while the grape decoration gives it plenty of rustic French country character. Sourced from a traditional brocante market in northern France, it is an authentic piece of vintage French kitchenware with an interesting original purpose.
