Large Vintage French Copper Embossed Wall Plaque signed R. Chalon (C85)

This is an usual French copper embossed portrait signed by R. Chalon. This is quite large at 68cm x 48cm and is solid copper; it was bought from a traditional French brocante market in Northern France. The subject looks to be a Mounted Grenadiers of the Imperial Guard from the Napoleonic War looking at the style. This is in good condition with some light scratches and a tiny dent as shown; it would be quite impressive in any home. As we buy all our stock in France from local markets all the items we sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life. This is all part of their unique French shabby chic appeal.
