This is a beautiful vintage style brass and copper wall mounted tap (one tap) hand made and water pressure tested. This is an EXTRA SMALL TAP HEAD - see measurements below and pictures, ideally suitable for a small basin perhaps in a cloakroom or camper van. (the head on its own is 7.5cm in height and 5cm projection). This will be too small for a full size kitchen sink or bathroom basin. This has an industrial rustic feel with copper pipework for the tail end. It is supplied with 3 fitting screws and would look fabulous with a small sink or alongside the French up cycled copper basins and sinks in our shop. This is a  made to measure custom size tap - please select your required projection from the drop down menu. The longer the projection, the longer the piece of inserted copper pipe.

All the taps we sell are rustic in design and do not have aerators, so the flow of water is a continuous stream similar to that of an outdoor tap.

🚰FITTING: All our wall mounted taps are fitted by screwing onto the front of the wall, these do not come apart, they are a sold as a complete soldered unit and you will need full access to the pipes behind your wall to fit this as it does not come apart, so please be sure you can fit it to the wall in this way or check with your plumber or ourselves before buying. This hand made tap is a very small 5cm tap head - see measurements below and pictures. It is best suited to a small cloakroom or perhaps a campervan. It has a nicely polished finish. If you prefer the more natural patina of brass then this can be achieved by leaving the tap unpolished, over time it will darken to the natural colour. This is made with 15mm standard UK fittings which is suitable for bathroom basins, kitchen sinks and camper van conversions. This is too small for a bath.

⏰DISPATCH TIME:  is usually 5 working days after purchase as all our taps are made to order. Accurate dispatch time is displayed at checkout before payment. Please contact us through our online contact page or live chat before buying if your order is urgent as these can often be sent earlier depending on current demand. See our website vintage shop selling over 300 unique, vintage and up cycled French brocante finds for your home and garden including a wide selection of tap styles as well as copper basins and sinks up cycled from French copper jam pans and bowls.

❓FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS❓

Can I buy a pair of these taps?
-Yes, for a pair please see listing Pair Vintage Brass Wall Mounted Taps

I need to buy more than the stock showing on the listing. Do you have more available?
-Yes we do. As we make all our taps to order we limit the number available in listings to ensure we can keep to our dispatch times. If you need more than the quantity listed, please message us and we will increase the number available to buy.

If this is unsuitable, can I return it?
- As made to your own custom sizes are not a stock item, they are generally non refundable. However, please do contact us if you are having an issue after purchase and we will do our best to help. We are only a small business so would appreciate if you could be as sure as you can before ordering and would encourage you to ask for advice if you are unsure in order to keep our costs and losses to a minimum.

The measurements available are not suitable for me, can the tap be made any longer?
-This style cannot be made longer but we have other styles which are more robust using thicker copper and these can be made to a longer projection. See this listing

Do you sell any other style of copper and brass taps?
-Yes we do. See the Copper Sinks and Taps section of our website shop where you will find 4 or 5 different styles including single and pairs of pillar taps, more wall mounted taps as well as a beautiful mixer tap in copper and brass.

What size is this tap?
- This has a very small tap head, best suited to a smaller basin or sink, it will be too small for a kitchen sink or full size bathroom sink, see measurements on the photographs for exact sizes. Please see measurements on the photographs in the listing for exact sizes.

The tap head is too small for my requirements, do you sell a chunkier tap?
-Yes we do, this tap is made from a dainty small tap head with 15mm copper pipework, we sell other taps in both 1/2 inch size and a chunkier 3/4 inch size which have thicker 22mm pipe rather than the standard 15mm as well as 2 other slightly larger styles. See the Copper Basins, Sinks & Taps section of our website

What size is the water inlet pipework?
-All our taps have the standard 15mm water inlet pipework, this is the pipe behind the wall where the water is connected.

Can this be fitted directly into a basin or sink?
-No, these style of  taps do not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. They are designed to fit into a wall. They are fitted by screwing the brass base into the wall using the screws provided. They are not fitted using a back nut.

Is this suitable for a bath?
-This tap will be far too small for a bath.

Can this be fitted in a shepherds hut or camper van?
-Yes all our taps can be fitted in a shepherds hut, we have sold many of these for camper vans, shepherds huts and horse box conversions. NB. Camper van pipework is usually smaller than standard 15mm so you will need to use a reducing fitting to join this to the inlet pipe. These are readily available at any plumbers or DIY merchant.

Can I use your taps as outdoor taps?
-Yes, all the taps we sell are suitable for outdoor use.

How do I connect this to my water inlet?
- All our wall mounted taps are fitted by screwing onto the front of the wall, they do not come apart, they are a sold as complete soldered units and you will need full access to the pipes behind your wall to fit this as it does not come apart, so please be sure you can fit  to the wall in this way or check with your plumber or ourselves before buying. Your water inlet pipe can be attached to the tail end by soldering, compression fittings or push fit fitments.

Can this be fitted as a direct replacement for my existing wall mounted tap?
- Probably not. All our wall mounted taps are made to be fitted from the front on walls where existing access behind is available, this is usually where a house is having a refit or a new build rather than as a direct swap. They are designed and supplied as complete units already soldered together, as such they can only be fitted from the front of the wall. This means that to connect your water supply you will need full access to the wall behind where the tap is to be fitted. They do not come apart and cannot be fitted to copper pipe protruding from an existing wall. The water inlet pipe must be connected behind the wall. Please check with your fitter or message for advice before buying if you are unsure.

How often will I need to polish my tap to keep it shiny and what should I use?
- Copper and brass are metals that naturally tarnish over time if left unpolished. A quick buff up every week or 2 will keep it shiny. We use Brasso wadding to keep our taps shiny. This is available at most supermarkets. Rub some wadding over the taps, let it dry for 15 minutes and buff it off with a yellow duster. If you would prefer the more rustic natural brown patina of copper then leave them unpolished and this colour will develop over time.

When will my order arrive?
-All our taps are made to order with a usual dispatch time of 5 working days after purchase. Please contact us via online chat or email before buying if your order is urgent as these can also often be sent earlier depending on current demand.

I have another question or I need some more advice about what tap to buy, can you help?
-Yes we can. These are made by Martin, our production partner, who is a gas engineer and plumber. He is more than happy to answer questions regarding tap size, style and fitting. Please message us using either the live chat (this is either Martin or Louise, not a chat bot) or our online contact form where we can arrange for a telephone call  if you prefer.  Alternatively, leave a message on our answerphone at 01772 494985 and we will call you back. We are often out of the country or in a noisy workshop so rarely hear the phone.
