A wonderfully timeworn antique French enamel wall planter in classic white enamel with contrasting blue trim, estimated to be at least 80 years old. Originally made as a 2 litre French irrigator, this vintage French brocante find now lends itself beautifully to repurposing as a hanging herb planter, rustic garden wall pot, kitchen utensil holder or characterful bathroom storage.

Its flat-backed shape makes it particularly useful for wall display, while the heavily worn enamel, chips and areas of enamel loss give it the authentic aged character so associated with traditional French farmhouse and cottage interiors.

Condition & authenticity

This piece is in very well-used antique condition, with extensive signs of age including enamel chips, areas of enamel loss, surface wear, marks and age-related patina.
