Brass and Copper Tall Pillar Taps, Small Kitchen Sink Taps, Bathroom or Cloakroom Taps (T35)
Brass and Copper Tall Pillar Taps, Small Kitchen Sink Taps, Bathroom or Cloakroom Taps (T35)
This is a beautiful pair of vintage style copper and brass taps, hand made and water pressure tested for leaks. These are very small tap heads, ideally suitable for a small basin perhaps in a cloakroom, shepherds hut or camper van. (the head on its own is 7.5cm in height and 5cm projection). These taps have an industrial feel with copper pipework and a brass taps head and come supplied with 6 fitting screws and would look fabulous with any smaller basin or sink or alongside the French copper bathroom/kitchen basin sinks in the 'Copper Basins, Sinks & Taps' section of our website shop. All the taps we sell are rustic in design and do not have aerators, so the flow of water is a continuous stream similar to that of an outdoor tap.
🚰FITTING: These taps are fixed by screws from the top, not from a nut underneath, these may not be suitable for a quartz/granite/marble/slate top; they are recommended for wooden and laminate worktops ONLY. Please check with your fitter or message for advice before buying if you are unsure. These hand made taps have been well made and have a nicely polished finish. If you prefer the more natural patina of copper and brass then this can be achieved by leaving them unpolished, over time they will darken to the natural brown copper colour. These are a small pair of taps with 15mm standard UK fittings which are suitable for bathroom basins, small kitchen sinks and camper van conversions but will not be suitable for baths due to their small size. Check out the 'Copper Basins, Sinks & Taps' section of our website shop for unique copper basins and a range of different tap styles, including chunky 22mm taps. Made to measure at no extra cost, please contact using using the online contact form or live chat with measurements before buying to ensure this is suitable for your size requirements. ❓FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS❓
I only need one tap, do you sell these individually?
-Yes we do, please see listing below in the 'Copper Basins, Sinks & Taps' section of our website shop. Vintage single tap
These measurements are not suitable for me, can they be made to my own measurements?
-Yes, these taps can be made to measure at no extra cost. Please see the listing below where you can select your sizes. Made to Measure Taps
Do you sell any other style of copper and brass taps?
-Yes we do. See the 'Copper Basins, Sinks & Taps' section of our website shop where you will find 4 or 5 different styles as well as a beautiful mixer tap in copper and brass.
What size are these taps?
-These taps have a very small tap head, best suited to a smaller basin or sink, they will be too small for standard kitchen sinks, see measurements on the photographs for exact sizes.
The tap head is too small for my requirements, do you sell a chunkier tap?
-Yes we do, these taps are made from dainty small tap heads with 15mm copper pipework, we sell other taps in both 1/2 inch size and a chunkier 3/4 inch size which have thicker 22mm pipe rather than the standard 15mm as well as 2 other slightly larger styles. See the 'Copper Basins, Sinks & Taps' section of our website shop.
What size is the water inlet pipework for these taps?
-All our taps have the standard 15mm water inlet pipework, this is the pipe below the countertop where the water is connected.
Can these taps be fitted directly into a basin or sink?
-No, these taps do not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. These are designed to fit onto a countertop. These are fitted by screwing the brass base into the top of the counter from above using the screws provided. These are not fitted using a back nut.
Are these taps suitable for a bath?
-These taps will be too small for baths. Our range of taps with 22mm pipework are more suited to baths, see the taps section of our shop.
Can these taps be fitted to a quartz, slate, concrete or marble type counter top?
-We would not recommend these to be fitted to this type of worktop as they are fitted from above with screws into the surface, not from a back nut underneath. We would recommend these for wood or laminate surfaces ONLY. Other types of countertops may not take the 6 small drill holes required. We are looking to develop a tap for these types of counters but this is still in the design stage.
Can these be fitted in a camper van?
-Yes these can be fitted in a camper van, we have sold many of these for camper van and horse box conversions. Camper van pipework is usually smaller than standard 15mm so you will need to use a reducing fitting to join these to the inlet pipe. These are readily available at any plumbers or DIY merchant.
Can I use these as outdoor taps?
-Yes, these taps are suitable for outdoor use.
How do I connect these to my water inlet under my sink or basin?
-These are sold as complete tap fittings which have the standard UK 15mm copper pipe attached below the counter where they are fitted. Your water inlet pipe can be attached to the tail ends by soldering, compression fittings or push fit fitments.
How often will I need to polish my taps to keep them shiny and what should I use?
- Copper and brass are metals that naturally tarnish over time if left unpolished. A quick buff up every week or 2 will keep it shiny. We use Brasso wadding to keep our taps shiny. This is available at most supermarkets. Rub some wadding over the taps, let it dry for 15 minutes and buff it off with a yellow duster. If you would prefer the more rustic natural brown patina of copper then leave them unpolished and this colour will develop over time.
When will my order arrive?
-All our taps are made to order with a usual dispatch time of 5 working days after purchase. Please contact us through our online chat form here or via live chat before buying if your order is urgent and we will do our best to accommodate you requirements. All our taps are posted fully tracked by either DPD or Royal Mail Tracked 48.
I have another question or I need some more advice about what tap to buy, can you help?
-Yes we can. Our production partner, Martin is a gas engineer and plumber and is more than happy to answer questions regarding tap size, style and fitting. Please message us via the website contact form or live chat in the first instance and if necessary we can arrange a call.
