This is a beautiful single traditional vintage style copper and brass tap, hand made and water pressure tested for leaks. This is a very small tap head, ideally suitable for a small basin perhaps in a cloakroom or camper van. (the head on its own is 7.5cm in height and 5cm projection). This tap has an industrial feel with copper pipework and a brass tap head and comes supplied with 3 fitting screws and would look fabulous with any smaller basin or sink or alongside the French copper bathroom basin sinks in the Copper Basins, Sinks and Taps section of our website shop.
All the taps we sell are rustic in design and do not have aerators, so the flow of water is a continuous stream similar to that of an outdoor tap.

🚰 FITTING: This tap is fixed by screws from the top, not from a nut underneath, it may not be suitable for a quartz/granite/marble/slate/concrete type top; this is recommended for wooden and laminate worktops ONLY. Please check with your fitter or contact us through the online form or live chat for advice before buying if you are unsure. This handmade tap has been well made and has a nicely polished finish. If you prefer the more natural patina of copper and brass then this can be achieved by leaving the tap unpolished, over time it will darken to the natural brown copper colour. This is a small tap with 15mm standard UK fittings which is suitable for bathroom basins, small kitchen sinks and camper van conversions.  Made to measure at no extra cost, please order from the following listing. Bespoke option

DISPATCH TIME  is usually 5 working days after purchase as all our taps are made to order. Please contact us through live chat or the website contact form before buying if your order is urgent as these can occasionally be sent earlier depending on current demand.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I buy these as a pair?
-Yes you can, please see listing Vintage Brass and Copper Taps

These measurements are not suitable for me, can the tap be made to my own measurements?
-Yes, this tap can be made to measure at no extra cost. Please see listing Bespoke option

Do you sell any other style of copper and brass taps?
-Yes we do. See Copper Basins, Sinks and Taps section of our website where you will find 4 or 5 different styles as well as a beautiful mixer tap in copper and brass.

What size is this tap?
-This tap has a small tap head, best suited to a smaller basin or sink, it will be too small for standard kitchen sinks, see measurements on the photographs for exact sizes.

The tap head is too small for my requirements, do you sell a chunkier tap?
-Yes we do, this tap is made from a dainty small tap head with 15mm copper pipework, we sell other taps in both 1/2 inch size and a chunkier 3/4 inch size which have thicker 22mm pipe rather than the standard 15mm as well as 2 other slightly larger styles. See Copper Basins, Sinks and Taps section of our website

What size is the water inlet pipework for this tap?
-All our taps have the standard 15mm water inlet pipework, this is the pipe below the countertop where the water is connected.

Can this tap be fitted directly into a basin or sink?
-No, this tap does not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. This is designed to fit onto a countertop. This is fitted by screwing the brass base into the top of the counter from above using the screws provided. This is not fitted using a back nut.

Is this tap suitable for a bath?
-This tap will be too small for a bath.

Can this tap be fitted to a quartz, slate or marble type counter top?
-We would not recommend these to be fitted to this type of worktop as they are secured by screwing holes into the surface from above not from a back nut underneath and these type of countertops may not take the small drill holes required. We recommend these for wood and laminate surfaces ONLY. We are looking to develop a tap for these types of tops but this is still in the design stage.

Can this be fitted in a camper van?
-Yes this can be fitted in a camper van, we have sold many of these for camper van and horse box conversions. Camper van pipework is usually smaller than standard 15mm so you will need to use a reducing fitting to join this to the inlet pipe. These are readily available at any plumbers or DIY merchant.

Can I use this as an outdoor tap?
-Yes, this tap is suitable for outdoor use.

How do I connect this to my water inlet under my sink or basin?
-This is sold as a complete tap fitting which has the standard UK 15mm copper pipe attached below the counter where it is fitted. Your water inlet pipe can be attached to the tail end by soldering, compression fittings or push fit fitments.

How often will I need to polish my tap to keep it shiny and what should I use?
- Copper and brass are metals that naturally tarnish over time if left unpolished. A quick buff up every week or 2 will keep it shiny. We use Brasso wadding to keep our taps shiny. This is available at most supermarkets. Rub some wadding over the taps, let it dry for 15 minutes and buff it off with a yellow duster. If you would prefer the more rustic natural brown patina of copper then leave them unpolished and this colour will develop over time.

When will my order arrive?
-All our taps are made to order with a usual dispatch time 5 days after purchase. Please contact us before buying if your order is urgent as these can occasionally be sent earlier depending on the current order volume. All our taps are posted fully tracked by either DPD or  Royal Mail Tracked 48.

I have another question or I need some more advice about what tap to buy, can you help?
-Yes we can. These are hand made by our partner company, Copper Basins and Taps, run by Martin who is a gas engineer and plumber. He is more than happy to answer questions regarding tap size, style and fitting. Please contact is through the Copper Basins, Sinks and Taps section of our website.
