Each plate is individually hand painted and bears the manufacturer's backstamp reading Faïence de St Amand – Garanti Inaltérable – Peint Main.

These characterful divided fondue plates feature a warm beige glaze with contrasting dark brown edging and a softly speckled finish, giving them the distinctive rustic appearance associated with mid-century French tableware. Their sectioned design was traditionally intended for fondue dining, allowing accompaniments, sauces and ingredients to be served separately around the plate.
