A beautiful vintage French brocante find, this original green milk glass ceiling pendant lampshade combines softly coloured glass, a distinctive pleated edge and an elegant brass gallery.

The pretty translucent green glass works particularly well with French country, farmhouse, cottage and vintage interiors, while the unusual colour makes it an appealing alternative to plain white or clear glass shades.

The shade has a traditional brass gallery designed to fit a standard UK bulb holder. A brass UK bayonet bulb holder and vintage-style twisted brown or black wiring can be purchased additionally as optional extras, allowing the shade to be styled as a complete pendant light.

The handmade vintage glass has the natural irregularities associated with older production, including small bubbles, subtle variations and manufacturing marks. These characteristics are part of its authentic vintage appeal.

Condition & authenticity

This is a genuine vintage French lampshade in good used vintage condition. There is a very small nibble to the glass rim, as shown in the photographs. It is not readily visible when viewing the shade normally and is primarily noticeable by touch, but it is mentioned for complete accuracy. The glass also has small bubbles, variations and manufacturing marks typical of older handmade glass. Please review all photographs carefully as they form part of the condition description.
