A charming vintage French frosted glass ceiling pendant lamp shade, complete with its original brass gallery. Sourced from a traditional French brocante market, this piece likely dates from the 1940s.

The handmade glass features an elegant frilled edge. When unlit, it has a subtle grey frosted tone. Once lit, it provides beautifully diffused, ambient lighting — softer and more atmospheric than clear glass shades.

The original brass gallery is included and fits a standard UK bulb holder.

This is also available to buy complete with a brass bulb holder and 50cm of twisted vintage stye brown or black wiring. * Longer wire lengths available on request +£5 per metre

This shade is in good vintage condition with no cracks or chips. As a handmade piece, small bubbles or minor glass imperfections and marks may be visible  — these are part of the original production process and not damage.

All items in our shop are genuine vintage or pre-loved pieces, selected for their character and authenticity

Lampshades can be posted internationally as the shade and collar/gallery only.

Our optional bayonet bulb holders and twisted fabric wiring are wired specifically for UK electrical systems, so these are normally available to UK buyers only. Where a light is sold pre-wired, the pre-wired version is also intended for UK use only.

If you are outside the UK and know that your electrical system and fittings are compatible with UK bayonet bulb holders and wiring, please contact us before purchasing and we can discuss whether the wired option may be suitable.

For international installations, we recommend having any electrical components fitted or checked by a suitably qualified electrician in your own country.
