A lovely vintage porcelain cornichons pot with a wooden lid, marked Herrandiz Porcelain – Made in Spain on the base. This traditional-style jar likely dates from the 1970s–1980s, possibly earlier, and was sourced from a French brocante market.

The pot is inscribed with the French word “Cornichons” on the front — referring to the small dilled gherkins so popular in French cuisine. While made in Spain, these jars are a common and much-loved feature in French farmhouse kitchens, used for storing pickles or simply as charming display pieces.
