Fitting information

These taps are fixed to your countertop from above using the 6 supplied securing screws rather than by back nuts underneath. They are best suited to wooden and laminate worktops and are not recommended for quartz, granite, marble, concrete or slate surfaces. For camper van installations, an adapter or reducer may be required and is usually easy to source from plumbers’ merchants or DIY stores.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these suitable for commercial use?
- No. All of our taps are designed for domestic use only, indoors or outdoors, and are not sold as suitable for commercial premises.

Can these be used as monobloc taps?
-Unfortunately not - they are single feed taps which can be either hot or cold feed but not both.

Can I buy just one of these taps?
-Yes. This is available as a single tap in the Deck Mounted section of our website.

Can I order more than the quantity currently shown?
-Yes. We often have more available than shown in the listing, but we limit stock numbers online to help maintain our dispatch times. If you would like a larger quantity, please contact us and we can increase the listing.

Are your taps made to order?
-Yes. All of our taps are made to order with a usual dispatch time of 3–5 working days. If your order is urgent, please contact us via Live Chat before purchasing, as earlier dispatch can often be arranged.

Can I return the taps if they are unsuitable?
-We do accept returns, but as all our taps are made to order rather than stock items, we kindly ask that you check all measurements carefully and contact us with any questions before ordering.

Can these taps be made to my own measurements?
-Yes. These can be made to your exact measurements at no extra cost — order made to measure options here: Custom Size Tap Collection

Do you sell other copper and brass tap styles?
-Yes. We offer over 20 styles, including single taps, pillar taps, wall-mounted taps, and mixer taps. Please see our Copper Sinks and Taps section for the full range.

What size is the tap head?
-Please refer to the listing photographs and dimensions section for exact measurements.

What size are the water inlet pipes?
-All of our taps have a standard UK 15mm size copper water inlet pipe - this is known as the tail end and is the section that sits below the counter.

Will the 15mm pipework fit if I am buying from outside the UK?
-Our taps are made with standard UK 15mm inlet pipework, so suitability will depend on the plumbing standard in your country. In many cases, where local pipework is a different size, adaptors are available. We recommend checking that a suitable adaptor can be sourced locally if needed, before purchase if you are ordering from outside the UK.

Can these taps be fitted directly into a basin or sink hole?
-No. These are designed to be fitted onto a countertop, not into pre-cast basin or sink holes. They are secured from above using the 6 screws provided rather than with back nuts underneath.

Can these be used with a bath?
-Sometimes. they may suit some baths, but many baths — especially in older properties — use a 22mm inlet rather than 15mm. Please check with your plumber or fitter before purchasing if you are unsure.

Can these be be fitted in a camper van or shepherd’s hut?
-Yes. Our taps are often used in camper vans, shepherd’s huts, and horse box conversions. Please note that camper van pipework is often smaller than standard 15mm, so reducing fittings may be required.

Can these be used outdoors?
-Yes. All of our taps are suitable for outdoor use.

How do I connect the taps to my water inlet pipes?
-The taps are supplied as complete fittings with 15mm copper pipes below the counter. Your water inlets can usually be connected using soldered, compression, or push-fit fittings.

Can these be fitted to quartz, granite, marble, concrete, or slate worktops?
-We do not recommend fitting to these surfaces. The taps are secured from above with screws into the worktop, so they are best suited to wooden or laminate surfaces.

How do I keep the copper and brass shiny?
-Copper and brass will naturally tarnish over time. To keep them polished, we recommend a quick clean every week or two using Brasso wadding or a similar metal polish. If you prefer a darker, aged patina, simply leave the metal unpolished and it will develop naturally over time.

When will my order arrive?
-Our usual dispatch time is 3–5 working days as each tap is made to order. Orders are normally sent by Royal Mail Tracked 48, or Tracked 24 for urgent orders where agreed.

Can I ask for advice before buying?
-Yes. We are always happy to help with questions about size, fitting, or style. Please contact us via Live Chat or our online contact form.

Can I speak to a real person?
-Yes. The quickest way to reach us is via Live Chat, where you will speak directly with Louise or Martin, not a chatbot. If you would prefer a call back, you can leave a message on 01772 494985 or send your contact details via live chat, contact form, or email.
