Pair of Brass and Copper Taps, Wall Mounted Kitchen or Bathroom Taps (T3)
Pair of Brass and Copper Taps, Wall Mounted Kitchen or Bathroom Taps (T3)
This is a beautiful pair of vintage style copper and brass, wall mounted taps, handmade, water pressure tested and with a polished finish. This pair of taps have solid brass tap heads with detachable nozzles and have an industrial rustic feel. They have UK standard 15mm copper pipework and are supplied with 6 fitting screws; these would look fabulous with any basin or sink or alongside the French copper up cycled basin and sinks in the website shop.
All the taps we sell are rustic in design and do not have aerators, so the flow of water is a continuous stream similar to that of an outdoor tap.
🚰 FITTING: All our wall mounted taps are fitted by screwing onto the front of the wall, these do not come apart, they are a sold as a complete soldered unit and you will need full access to the pipes behind your wall to fit these as they do not come apart, so please be sure you can fit these to the wall in this way or check with your plumber or ourselves before buying. These handmade taps have a nicely polished finish. If you prefer the more natural patina of copper and brass then this can be achieved by leaving the taps unpolished, over time they will darken to the natural brown copper colour. These have a 1/2 inch tap head made with 15mm standard UK fittings which is suitable for bathroom basins, kitchen sinks and camper van conversions but may not be suitable for baths as most baths have a different size pipe connection; check with your plumber first if these are intended for a bath and check the measurements.
⏰ DISPATCH TIME: All our taps are made to order so this is 5 working days after purchase. Please contact us through live chat or the online contact form before buying if your order is urgent as these can occasionally be sent earlier depending on our current order book. ❓FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS❓
Can I buy just one of these taps?
-Yes, you can, for a single tap see listing Single Tap
If these are unsuitable, can I return them?
-Yes, if these are unsuitable we are happy to accept returns as long as the taps are unfitted and in the original condition. However, as these are made to order, rather than a stock held item, we are only a small business so would appreciate if you could be as sure as you can before ordering and would encourage you to ask for advice if you are unsure in order to keep our costs and losses to a minimum.
The measurements available are not suitable for me, can the taps be made any longer?
-These can be ordered as a custom size on this listing Pair of Custom size taps
Do you sell any other style of copper and brass taps?
-Yes we do. See the Copper, basins and Taps section of our website shop where you will find 4 or 5 different styles including single and pairs of pillar taps, more wall mounted taps as well as a beautiful mixer tap in copper and brass.
What size are these taps?
-Please see measurements on the photographs in the listing for exact sizes.
What size is the water inlet pipework for these taps?
-All our taps have the standard 15mm water inlet pipework, this is the pipe behind the wall where the water is connected.
Can these be fitted directly into a basin or sink?
-No, these taps do not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. They are designed to fit into a wall. They are fitted by screwing the brass bases into the wall using the screws provided. They are not fitted using a back nut.
Are these suitable for a bath?
-Our taps will be suitable for some baths, although this style is generally sold for basins and sinks as it has a water inlet pipe which is a 15mm diameter. Some baths, particularly in older houses have a water inlet pipe of 22mm. Please check with your plumber or fitter if you are unsure of your pipe size if you are buying for a bath, or message us for advice.
Can they be fitted in a shepherds hut or camper van?
-Yes they can be fitted in a shepherds hut, we have sold many of these for camper vans, shepherds huts and horse box conversions. NB. Camper van pipework is usually smaller than standard 15mm so you will need to use a reducing fitting to join this to the inlet pipe. These are readily available at any plumbers or DIY merchant.
Can I use your taps outside?
-Yes, all our taps are suitable for outdoor use.
How do I connect these to my water inlet?
- All our wall mounted taps are fitted by screwing onto the front of the wall, these do not come apart, they are a sold as a complete soldered unit and you will need full access to the pipes behind your wall to fit these as they do not come apart, so please be sure you can fit this to the wall in this way or check with your plumber or ourselves before buying. Your water inlet pipe can be attached to the tail end by soldering, compression fittings or push fit fitments.
Can these taps be fitted as a direct replacement for my existing wall mounted taps?
- Probably not. These are made to be fitted from the front on walls where existing access behind is available, this is usually where a house is having a refit or a new build rather than as a direct swap. They are designed and supplied as a complete unit already soldered together, as such they can only be fitted from the front of the wall. This means that to connect your water supply you will need full access to the wall behind where the taps are to be fitted. This unit does not come apart and it cannot be fitted to copper pipe protruding from an existing wall. The water inlet pipe must be connected behind the wall. Please check with your fitter or message for advice before buying if you are unsure.
How often will I need to polish my taps to keep them shiny and what should I use?
- Copper and brass are metals that naturally tarnish over time if left unpolished. A quick buff up every week or 2 will keep it shiny. We use Brasso wadding to keep our taps shiny. This is available at most supermarkets. Rub some wadding over the taps, let it dry for 15 minutes and buff it off with a yellow duster. If you would prefer the more rustic natural brown patina of copper then leave them unpolished and this colour will develop over time.
When will my order arrive?
-All our taps are made to order with a usual dispatch time of 5 working days after purchase. Please contact us via live chat or our online contact form before buying if your order is urgent as these can occasionally be sent earlier depending on our current demand.
I have another question or I need some more advice about what tap to buy, can you help?
-Yes we can. These are made by Martin, our production partner, who is a gas engineer and plumber. He is more than happy to answer questions regarding tap size, style and fitting. As we are out of the country frequently or in a noisy workshop where we cant always hear the phone, the best and quickest way to contact us is via the website Live Chat. This is not a chat bot, it is either Martin or Louise. Alternatively you can use the website contact form or leave a message on our answering machine and we will give you a call back.
