This is a complete set of 6 vintage French Mustard gold Mid Century Fondue plates made by the famous Faience manufacturers "Niderviller", from the 'Fauve' series design and stamped on the bases. These were bought at a traditional French brocante market and will, have been used and loved in a French home for many years. They will date from around 1960s. The plates are from the same glazing batch, but the dots and patterns within the glaze do vary very slightly between each batch, although they are the mustard colour. These are in a good used condition with no cracks, just a couple of casting chips on the underside as show, these are little white chips on the reverse of the plate where it has been rested on the stand for the glazing process. This is the nature of hand made and glazed items and adds to their original character. The plates are a stunning example of mid century design and would add a vintage flair to any kitchen or dining table. These are a single portion size plate, which, while made as a fondue plates, now have multiply uses. These could be for sushi, BBQ plates or great for a buffet, far more stylish than paper plates!. 
All our pieces are bought at a traditional French brocante markets, as such all the items we sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life. This is all part of their unique French shabby chic appeal. It is not always possible to show every minor scratch on a photo so if you are looking for new then these may not be for you. Any significant flaws are always highlighted in both photos and descriptions.
