French Salt and Pepper Storage Pots, Farmhouse Style Ceramic Kitchen Jars (B34)

This is a pair of rustic storage jars for salt and pepper with loose fitting ceramic lids with the word sel (French for salt) and poivre (French for pepper) on the fronts. These are ceramic and are jars for storing cooking salt and pepper, similar to a salt pigs, NOT salt shaker and pepper shakers to use at a table. These are each about the size of a fizzy drinks can and have the makers stamp on the base. These were bought at a traditional French brocante market and are in a good used condition with a few nibbles here and there as shown. All the items we sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life. This is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal.
