Copper and Brass Kitchen Tap - for Wall Mounted Feed (T86)
Copper and Brass Kitchen Tap - for Wall Mounted Feed (T86)
Couldn't load pickup availability
This is a beautiful single vintage style copper and brass, wall mounted tap, hand made and water pressure tested. This has an angled brass mounting plate to accommodate existing surface mounted pipework on a wall. The 3/4 inch solid brass tap head with detachable nozzle and 22mm exposed copper pipework giving a more chunky feel than the smaller 1/2 inch version of this tap. This tap has an industrial rustic feel with copper pipework, a brass tap head and it comes supplied with 3 fitting screws; this would look fabulous with any basin or Belfast sink or alongside the French copper bathroom/kitchen basin sinks in the Copper Basins and Sinks section of our website shop. All the taps we sell are rustic in design and do not have aerators, so the flow of water is a continuous stream similar to that of an outdoor tap.
🚰 FITTING This style of wall mounted tap is fitted with a 90 degree angled brass mount designed for use with existing surface mounted copper pipe. It is fitted by attaching your existing copper 15mm water feed pipe on your wall into the brass fitting of the wall mount - this does not require solder as it is a compression fitting. You secure this to the wall by screwing the brass backplate with the supplied screws. The brass bracket can be made to accommodate a copper feed pipe from above, the side or from below. Please select your tap based on where your own copper water feed pipe is positioned. It cannot be changed once you receive it - it is soldered in place as part of the making process. Please see our extensive list of FAQ below for more fitting questions and answers.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are your taps suitable for use in a commercial setting?
- All the taps we sell are designed for use in a domestic setting only, either indoor or outdoor. They are not sold as suitable for commercial premises.
Can I buy this as a pair?
-Yes, for a pair please see here
If this is unsuitable, can I return it?
-Yes, this can be returned if it is unsuitable as long as it is in original condition and unfitted. However, as a small business that makes all our taps to order, they are not an item we stock, we would appreciate careful measurements before ordering in order to keep our losses to a minimum. If you are having a problem with suitability please feel free to contact us and we will always do our best to help resolve any problems or give advice before buying.
These measurements available are not suitable for me, can the tap be made any longer?
- Yes we sell this as a made to measure custom size tap - please message with your sizes and we will create an option to buy
Do you sell any other style of copper and brass taps?
-Yes we do. See the tap section of our website where you will find over 20 different styles including single and pairs of pillar taps, more wall mounted taps as well as a beautiful mixer tap in copper and brass.
What size is this tap?
-Please see measurements on the photographs in the listing for exact sizes.
What size is the water inlet pipework for this tap?
-All our taps have the standard 15mm water inlet pipework, this is the pipe you already have on the wall where the water is connected. Although this has exposed 22mm chunky pipework, the inlet is still 15mm.
What will I receive and do I need to assemble it myself?
-You will receive a complete tap and 22mm pipework with bracket ready to fit. This includes fitting screws. It is soldered together and completely assembled as a unit and does not come apart. You do not receive the water inlet pipe (15mm copper piece) this is shown to demonstrate the position when fitted. This 15mm pipework is attached to your mains water feed into your house.
My copper water inlet pipe is behind the wall or I am having it designed to be hidden behind the wall, Do you make a tap for this type arrangement?
-Yes we do. Please see the following listing - Wall Mounted Copper Tap for this tap designed for buried pipework. We have a range of different styles for this type of fitting, please visit the Tap section of the website here for our full catalogue.
How do I know which position to buy?
-The brass bracket can be made to position either way up or from either side. See the pictures demonstrating where your copper water feed might be. It cannot be changed once you receive it - it is soldered in place as part of the making process - any questions please message for advice, feel free to include pictures of your pipework so we can advise you.
Do you supply the water inlet pipe?
--This is not supplied with the 15mm copper inlet pipe (pictures are for demonstration of position) as you should already have this in your property - it is attached to your mains water supply.
Can this tap be fitted directly into a basin or sink?
-No, this tap does not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. This is designed to fit onto a wall with existing 15mm copper pipe. This is fitted by screwing the brass base into the wall using the screws provided.
Is this tap suitable for a bath?
-This tap will be suitable for some baths, although this style is generally sold for basins and sinks as it has a water inlet pipe which is a 15mm diameter. Some baths, particularly in older houses have a water inlet pipe of 22mm. Please check with your plumber or fitter if you are unsure of your pipe size if you are buying for a bath, or message us for advice.
Can this be fitted in a shepherds hut?
-Yes this can be fitted in a shepherds hut, we have sold many of these for camper vans, shepherds huts and horse box conversions. NB. Camper van pipework is usually smaller than standard 15mm so you will need to use a reducing fitting to join this to the inlet pipe. These are readily available at any plumbers or DIY merchant.
Can I use this as an outdoor tap?
-Yes, this tap is suitable for outdoor use.
How do I connect this to my water inlet?
- This style of wall mounted tap is designed for connecting to existing surface mounted copper water pipe. It is fitted by attaching your existing copper 15mm water feed pipe on your wall into the brass fitting of the wall mount - this does not require solder as it is a compression fitting giving it a sleek look without the need for cumbersome connections in your pipework. You secure this to the wall by screwing the brass backplate with the supplied screws.
Can this tap be fitted as a direct replacement for my existing wall mounted tap?
- Sometimes. If you have an existing wall mounted copper pipework attached to a tap, then this can be mounted in its place. This is connected to your copper inlet into the brass compression fitting. The brass bracket then screws to the wall Please check with your fitter or message for advice before buying if you are unsure.
How often will I need to polish my tap to keep it shiny and what should I use?
- Copper and brass are metals that naturally tarnish over time if left unpolished. A quick buff up every week or 2 will keep it shiny. We use Brasso wadding to keep our taps shiny. This is available at most supermarkets. Rub some wadding over the taps, let it dry for 15 minutes and buff it off with a yellow duster. If you would prefer the more rustic natural brown patina of copper then leave them unpolished and this colour will develop over time.
When will my order arrive?
-All our taps are made to order with a usual dispatch time of 3-5 working days after purchase. Please contact us via the contact form or live chat before buying if your order is urgent as these can sometimes be sent earlier depending on current order demand.
I have another question or I need some more advice about what tap to buy, can you help?
-Yes we can. These are made by Martin who is a gas engineer and plumber. He is more than happy to answer questions regarding tap size, style and fitting. We are usually in a noisy workshop and are sometimes in France so the best and quickest way to contact us is via the live chat on our website (we usually answer straight away in office hours), you can also email us or use the contact form.
