Frequently Asked Questions

Are your taps suitable for commercial use?
- No. All of our taps are designed for domestic use only, indoors or outdoors, and are not sold as suitable for commercial premises.

Can I buy a pair of these taps?
-Yes. A pair is available in the Wall mounted Taps section of our website or selected quantity at checkout as 2.

Can I order more than the quantity currently shown?
-Yes. We often have more available than shown in the listing, but we limit stock numbers online to help maintain our dispatch times. If you would like a larger quantity, please contact us and we can increase the listing.

Are your taps made to order?
-Yes. All of our taps are made to order with a usual dispatch time of 3–5 working days. If your order is urgent, please contact us before purchasing, as earlier dispatch can often be arranged.

How do I connect these to my water inlet? - This style of wall mounted tap is designed for connecting to existing surface mounted copper water pipe. It is fitted by attaching your existing copper 15mm water feed pipe on your wall into the brass fitting of the wall mount - this does not require solder as it is a compression fitting giving it a sleek look without the need for cumbersome connections in your pipework. You secure this to the wall by screwing the brass backplate with the supplied screws. If you have chosen a 22mm chunky pipe option, the fitting pipe is still a standard UK 15mm mains water inlet.

How do I know which position to buy?
-The brass bracket can be made to position either way up or from either side. See the pictures demonstrating where your copper water feed might be. It cannot be changed once you receive it - it is soldered in place as part of the making process - any questions please message for advice, feel free to include pictures of your pipework so we can advise you. If you’re buying two taps to use side by side, please be aware that both will sit at the same height on the wall. Depending on how your copper pipework is surface mounted, you may need to order one tap with a top feed and one with a side feed to ensure they fit correctly.

What will I receive and do I need to assemble it myself?
-You will receive a complete brass tap with bracket ready to fit. This includes fitting screws. It is soldered together and completely assembled as a unit and does not come apart. You do not receive the water inlet pipe (15mm copper piece) this is shown to demonstrate the position when fitted. This 15mm pipework is attached to your mains water feed into your house.

My copper water inlet pipe is behind the wall or I am having it designed to be hidden behind the wall, Do you make a tap for this type arrangement?
-Yes we do. Please visit the
Tap section of the website here for our full catalogue.

Can I return this if it is unsuitable?
-We do accept returns, but as all our taps are made to order rather than stock items, we kindly ask that you check all measurements carefully and contact us with any questions before ordering.

What size is this tap?
-Please refer to the listing photographs and dimensions section for exact measurements

Can this be made to my own measurements?
-Yes. This can be made to your exact measurements — order made to measure options here: Custom Size Tap Collection

Do you sell other copper and brass tap styles?
-Yes. We offer over 20 styles, including single taps, pillar taps, wall-mounted taps, and mixer taps. Please see our Copper Sinks and Taps section for the full range.

What size is the water inlet pipework?
-All of our taps have a standard UK 15mm copper water inlet pipe to connect to your mains supply even when the exposed pipework is 22mm

Will the 15mm pipework fit if I am buying from outside the UK?
-Our taps are made with standard UK 15mm inlet pipework, so suitability will depend on the plumbing standard in your country. In many cases, where local pipework is a different size, adaptors are available. We recommend checking that a suitable adaptor can be sourced locally if needed, before purchase if you are ordering from outside the UK.

Can this be fitted directly into a basin or sink hole?
-No. This tap does not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. It is designed to fit onto a wall. It is fitted by screwing the brass base into the wall using the screws provided. It is not fitted using a back nut.

Can this be used with a bath?
-This style can be used with a bath but please check that your bath water inlet pipe is 15mm as this is sometimes different on older houses.

Can this be fitted in a camper van or shepherd’s hut?
-Yes. Our taps are often used in camper vans, shepherd’s huts, and horse box conversions. Please note that camper van pipework is often smaller than standard 15mm, so a reducing fitting may be required.

Can your taps be used outdoors?
-Yes. All of our taps are suitable for outdoor use.

Can this be fitted as a direct replacement for my existing wall mounted tap? -Possibly. It depends on your current arrangement. For advice beofre ourchase please send a picture of your pipework and fitting area and we can advise as to whether this would be suitable or check with your fitter.

How do I keep the copper and brass shiny?
-Copper and brass will naturally tarnish over time. To keep them polished, we recommend a quick clean every week or two using Brasso wadding or a similar metal polish. If you prefer a darker, aged patina, simply leave the metal unpolished and it will develop naturally over time.

When will my order arrive?
-Our usual dispatch time is 3–5 working days as each tap is made to order. Orders are normally sent by Royal Mail Tracked 48, or Tracked 24 for urgent orders where agreed.
