Brass Vintage Style Kitchen or Bathroom Taps, Wall Mounted ideal for Belfast Sink (T2)
Brass Vintage Style Kitchen or Bathroom Taps, Wall Mounted ideal for Belfast Sink (T2)
This is a beautiful pair of vintage style brass, wall mounted taps, hand made and water pressure tested. These have solid brass tap heads with detachable nozzles and have an industrial rustic feel with copper pipework for the tail ends. They come supplied with 6 fitting screws and would look fabulous with any sink or alongside the French up cycled copper basins and sinks in our Etsy shop. All the taps we sell are rustic in design and do not have aerators, so the flow of water is a continuous stream similar to that of an outdoor tap.
🚰FITTING: All our wall mounted taps are fitted by screwing onto the front of the wall, these do not come apart, they are a sold as a complete soldered unit and you will need full access to the pipes behind your wall to fit these as they do not come apart, so please be sure you can fit them to the wall in this way or check with your plumber or ourselves before buying. These hand made taps have a nicely polished finish. If you prefer the more natural patina of brass then this can be achieved by leaving the taps unpolished, over time they will darken to the natural colour. These are made with 1/2 inch tap heads and 15mm standard UK fittings which are suitable for bathroom basins, kitchen sinks and camper van conversions but may not be suitable for baths as most baths have a different size pipe connection; check with your plumber first if these are intended for a bath and check the measurements.
⏰DISPATCH TIME: is usually 5 working days after purchase as all our taps are made to order. Please contact us through our online contact page or live chat before buying if your order is urgent as these can often be sent earlier depending on current demand. See our website vintage shop selling over 300 unique, vintage and up cycled French brocante finds for your home and garden including a wide selection of tap styles as well as copper basins and sinks up cycled from French copper jam pans and bowls.

❓FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS❓
Can I buy just one of these taps?
-Yes, for a single tap please see listing Single Vintage Brass Wall Mounted Tap
I need to buy more than the stock showing on the listing. Do you have more available?
-Yes we do. As we make all our taps to order we limit the number available in listings to ensure we can keep to our dispatch times. If you need more than the quantity listed, please message us and we will increase the number available to buy.
If these are unsuitable, can I return them?
-Yes, if they are unsuitable we are happy to accept returns as long as they are unfitted and in the original condition. However, as these are made to order, rather than a stock held item, we are only a small business so would appreciate if you could be as sure as you can before ordering and would encourage you to ask for advice if you are unsure in order to keep our costs and losses to a minimum.
The measurements available are not suitable for me, can the taps be made any longer?
-These can be ordered as a custom size order here Pair of Custom made Brass and Copper Taps
Do you sell any other style of copper and brass taps?
-Yes we do. See the Copper Sinks and Taps section of our website shop where you will find 4 or 5 different styles including single and pairs of pillar taps, more wall mounted taps as well as a beautiful mixer tap in copper and brass.
What size are these taps?
-Please see measurements on the photographs in the listing for exact sizes.
What size is the water inlet pipework?
-All our taps have the standard 15mm water inlet pipework, this is the pipe behind the wall where the water is connected.
Can these be fitted directly into a basin or sink?
-No, these taps do not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. They are designed to fit into a wall. They are fitted by screwing the brass base into the wall using the screws provided. They are not fitted using a back nut.
Are these suitable for a bath?
-These taps will be suitable for some baths, although this style is generally sold for basins and sinks as it has a water inlet pipe which is a 15mm diameter. Some baths, particularly in older houses have a water inlet pipe of 22mm. Please check with your plumber or fitter if you are unsure of your pipe size if you are buying for a bath, or message us for advice.
Can these be fitted in a shepherds hut or camper van?
-Yes they can be fitted in a shepherds hut, we have sold many of these for camper vans, shepherds huts and horse box conversions. NB. Camper van pipework is usually smaller than standard 15mm so you will need to use a reducing fitting to join this to the inlet pipe. These are readily available at any plumbers or DIY merchant.
Can I use these as outdoor taps?
-Yes, they are suitable for outdoor use.
How do I connect these to my water inlet?
- All our wall mounted taps are fitted by screwing onto the front of the wall, they do not come apart, they are a sold as complete soldered units and you will need full access to the pipes behind your wall to fit this as it does not come apart, so please be sure you can fit these to the wall in this way or check with your plumber or ourselves before buying. Your water inlet pipe can be attached to the tail end by soldering, compression fittings or push fit fitments.
Can these be fitted as a direct replacement for my existing wall mounted taps?
- Probably not. These taps are made to be fitted from the front on walls where existing access behind is available, this is usually where a house is having a refit or a new build rather than as a direct swap. These are designed and supplied as complete units already soldered together, as such they can only be fitted from the front of the wall. This means that to connect your water supply you will need full access to the wall behind where the tap is to be fitted. They do not come apart and cannot be fitted to copper pipe protruding from an existing wall. The water inlet pipe must be connected behind the wall. Please check with your fitter or message for advice before buying if you are unsure.
How often will I need to polish my taps to keep them shiny and what should I use?
- Copper and brass are metals that naturally tarnish over time if left unpolished. A quick buff up every week or 2 will keep it shiny. We use Brasso wadding to keep our taps shiny. This is available at most supermarkets. Rub some wadding over the taps, let it dry for 15 minutes and buff it off with a yellow duster. If you would prefer the more rustic natural brown patina of copper then leave them unpolished and this colour will develop over time.
When will my order arrive?
-All our taps are made to order with a usual dispatch time of 5 working days after purchase. Please contact us via Etsy messages before buying if your order is urgent as these can also often be sent earlier depending on current demand.
I have another question or I need some more advice about what tap to buy, can you help?
-Yes we can. These are made by Martin, our production partner, who is a gas engineer and plumber. He is more than happy to answer questions regarding tap size, style and fitting. Please message us using either the live chat (this is either Martin or Louise, not a chat bot) or our online contact form where we can arrange for a telephone call if you prefer. Alternatively, leave a message on our answerphone at 01772 494985 and we will call you back. We are often out of the country or in a noisy workshop so rarely hear the phone.
