6 Fondue Plates, Retro Mid Century Divided Plate Set, BBQ, Raclette Portion Plates (B37)

This is a set of 6 vintage French Gien fondue plates. These are a green glazed ceramic with a retro mid century feel; each plate has the Gien back stamp. The Gien making process is all completed manually. Up to twenty hands touch each piece - from moulding to firing and decorating where applicable. Various artists are chosen to produce the unique designs which are executed with strict attention to detail and quality control. This plate set was bought at a French brocante market and is in a good used condition as shown with signs of wear here and there; some flaws from hand made 50+ years production as shown. These will date from around 1970s if not a little earlier and, whilst produced as fondue plates, these would add a French flair to any BBQ or party with the handy sections making it ideal for buffet food or raclette.
