WW1 Memorabilia, German Brass Fuse Paperweight, Militaria Brass Fuse Artefact (M2)

This is a WW1 German brass fuse sourced from the Somme region in France. This brass fuse has been fired so will show impact damage. This piece of WW1 memorabilia is a genuine piece of history which would make an unusual paperweight as it weighs a hefty 0.8kg or would be a great gift for a militaria collector. Relics and artefacts from WW1 are still being found today, even over 100 years later, by farmers across the Battlefields of the Somme. It has the pinking caused from age; as brass corrodes, it can undergo dezincification, a process in which zinc is lost and copper is left behind. This causes the brass to turn a pink colour in places.
