Original French Enamel House Number 3 Sign – Vintage Blue Metal Door Plaque

This is an original French enamel door number sign No. 3, sourced from a traditional French brocante market.
Unlike modern reproductions, this is a genuine vintage enamel plaque, made from thick metal and designed to last for decades. Traditionally, these enamel house numbers were issued by the local mayor or council in France, and not sold in shops.

• Used vintage condition with signs of age such as scratches or marks from use

The bis/ter at the end of French numbers is a little like our 3A, 3B etc, it indicates another house with the number 3 on the street. So 3bis is 3A and this is equivalent to 3B in the UK, although as these letters are French and do not mean the same thing in the UK, they are suitable for any house numbered 3.
