Welcome to our first blog! We are now back home in the UK for the winter and its time to start sorting and listing our most recent brocante finds. We returned home last week after a final whirlwind 5 day trip where we visited 2 of our favourite brocante markets, Flixecourt and Bray sur Somme, both fairly close to our French mobile home. We have a trolley we use to carry our purchases when we are browsing the markets. On this occasion it was safe to say it was working at full capacity!! We filled the trolley 4 times and each trip back to the van was harder than the last because, while we love the Flixecourt brocante...it is very large (1500 stalls) and the town sits in a dip. So we are always parked up a hill, which seems to get steeper each year! With a full van and an overnight hotel stop to break up the long trip home, we arrived back to typically wet and cold Lancashire day. We emptied the van, realised we had already filled our stockroom!!, and spent the next day trying to find a space for everything. Then the dreaded Covid hit...so a week off it was for us. Thankfully our fabulous daughter who processes all our packages while we are in France, came to the rescue and kept things moving while we felt sorry for ourselves. We are just about back to fighting fit now so keep an eye out for next weeks blog where I'll be talking about how All Things French Store came about. have a good weekend
