French Vintage Glass Pendant Light Shade, Ceiling Suspended Lamp Shade (A85)

This is a French vintage frosted glass ceiling pendant lampshade now up cycled with new twisted vintage style wiring, vintage brass gallery and a new brass standard UK bulb holder.  This is available for international shipping but please bear in mind that this is sold as wired for UK electrics so you may need to change the wire if this is different in your country. This is a frosted clear glass in a frilly design, probably dating from around 1940s. When unlit it has a greyish appearance of frosted glass, once lit this gives a less harsh more diffused light than clear glass. The new bulb holder takes a standard UK bayonet bulb. This pendant light is in a good used condition as shown. This is not a factory made shade, it is handmade so may have some bubbles and flaws in the glass from the making process, these are not cracks, just part of the vintage making process. This was bought at a traditional French brocante market and is not sold with a ceiling rose as the French roses are usually much smaller than standard UK versions. This can be wired straight into an existing rose or a new one. There is a small selection of the smaller vintage porcelain roses in the lighting section of the shop if a smaller one is suitable for your fitting. All the items we sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life, in the case of lights like these this may mean flaws in the glass during the making process, eg. bubbles. This is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal. As such, if you are looking for something 'new' then this is probably not for you.
