Set of 12 Vintage French Porte Couteaux Majolica & Metal Knife Rests 1950s (C4)

This is a lovely, boxed set of 12 vintage French knife rests in their box. These knife rests are a complete set with no chips or damage and look like fruit and vegetables; these would look lovely at any dinner party. There are 2 of each design, I believe they are lemons, pumpkins, clams, mushrooms, avocados and maybe watermelon?). This set and was purchased at a traditional French brocante market as is all my stock, the decoration is ceramic and the rest is metal. The metal has rusted in places over time, leaving a rustic pre loved patina. The box is intact as shown in the photos although it is only made from cardboard and it is very worn and stained. All the items I sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life. This is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal.
