Set of 12 Vintage French Porte Couteaux Majolica & Metal Knife Rests 1950s (C4)

This is a lovely, boxed set of 12 vintage French knife rests in their box. These knife rests are a complete set with no chips or damage and look like fruit and vegetables; these would look lovely at any dinner party. There are 2 of each design, I believe they are lemons, pumpkins, clams, mushrooms, avocados and maybe watermelon?). This set was purchased at a traditional French brocante market as is all our stock, the decoration is ceramic and the rest is metal. The metal has rusted in places over time, leaving a rustic pre loved patina. The box is intact as shown in the photos although it is only made from cardboard and it is very worn and stained. All the items we sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life. This is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal.
