Vintage French Glass Ceiling Pendant Light, Milk Glass Hanging Lampshade (A22)

This is a lovely vintage French ceiling pendant light made from milk dusky yellow coloured glass with a silvery grey lined pattern. This is faded in places through age, adding to its vintage appeal. Colours can vary in shade and tone depending on your viewing screen. We would described this as a pale dusky yellow colour. This was made in Czechoslovakia for use in France as is a lot of vintage glass from Europe. This pendant lamp shade is in a good used condition with no cracks, just a little chip to the rim as shown, hard to see as it is very small but worth a mention. With a base diameter at the opening of 14cm and a diameter at the widest point of 20cm it is about the size of a side plate. This ceiling light was bought at a French brocante market and is supplied as a glass shade, nickel bayonet bulb holder and new black twisted wiring. (This can be sent with a brass bulb holder and brown wiring - please add a note of you would prefer this alternate colour). This is sold as wired for UK 240v electrics and may need re-wiring if you are purchasing this from outside the UK. This is not sold with a ceiling rose as the French roses are usually much smaller than standard UK versions. This can be wired straight into an existing rose or a new one which are readily available at any DIY shop. There is a small selection of vintage porcelain roses in the lighting section of the shop. All the items we sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life, in the case of lights like these this may mean flaws in the glass during the making process, eg. bubbles. This is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal. As such if you looking for something 'new' then this is probably not for you.
