Taxidermy Deer Head, Roe Deer Wall Mounted with Antlers, Gift for Hunter (C21)

This is a vintage French taxidermy Roe deer head mount with antlers bought from a traditional French brocante market in northern France. This is a genuine taxidermy specimen, not a modern replica; it is a mounted head on a wooden mount in a good used condition for its 50+ years.
Condition details 

• The ears and the antlers are complete and secure; there is the usual little parting of the ears as they dry out - as shown. 
  
• There are a few small marks to the wooden mount.
• It has the usual old musty/smoky smell of old French taxidermy which needs airing
  
• Antlers are complete - no chips
  
• It is secure on its mount 
  
• It has been professionally mounted 

This deer head would make a great gift for a deer hunting or hunting enthusiast or alternatively would be an unusual home decoration; these are often used as quirky hat racks!  It is a fairly compact size, so not too big and overpowering for a smaller space but enough to make a statement.
