Set of 4 French Lions Head Soup Bowls, Traditional French Onion Soup Pots (C1)

This is a set of 4 French traditional soup serving dishes with little lion head handles traditionally used for serving French onion soup. The set has 4 small serving bowls each inscribed Soupe a L'oignon. These ceramic soup bowls were purchased at a traditional French brocante market and would suit a French style kitchen, farmhouse kitchen or would be great in a French restaurant or bistro. We also have some more plain soup bowls in the same style as this on our other listings. These are at least 45-50 years old, maybe more. These are in a well used condition with no chips or cracks but with some crackling to the glaze from their previous life in a French home. Two are in a slightly better condition than the other two. The condition is reflected in the price.
All the items we sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life. This is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal.
