French Vintage Cheese Set, Cheeseboard and Plate Set Made by Gien (B62)

This is a lovely set of 5 French vintage Les Fromages plates cheese plates and a matching cheeseboard by Gien. These will probably date from 1950ss if not earlier, are French porcelain and each plate has the makers stamp on the back. Each plate has a design of a different cheese names from France around the rim. The cheeseboard has a wooden handle which will be removed for posting to avoid damage. This set was bought at a traditional French brocante market, and is in a good used condition for its age with some crackling to the glaze, usual for older pieces like this. All the items we sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life. This is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal. This set would look great on any dinner table or for cheese and wine evenings.
