Vintage French Foie Gras Pate Serving Dish, Goose Head Serving Plate (B14)

This is a vintage French foie gras serving dish, traditionally used to serve foie gras on French festive tables. This is hand made and has a lovely chicken decoration as well as the makers stamp on the base. This is made of French artisan porcelain by Pierre Jean Valette in Sarlat en Perigord, a region renowned all over the world for fine foie gras pâté. This was bought at a French brocante market and is in good condition with no chips or cracks. this would look fabulous on any dining table or at a buffet. It would make a splendid addition to any country kitchen or French style home. These are often plain white on colour, so a decorative one like this is, indeed a rare find. As all the items we sell are bought from French brocante fairs, they are used or vintage and will often show minor signs of their previous life in a French home.
