Set of 6 French Rustic Ceramic Escargot Dishes, Vintage Snail Pots Plates (B31)

This is an unusual set of 6 individual snail serving plates each holding 12 snails. This set of escargots or snail dishes is in a good used condition and would look great on any table  in a farmhouse style kitchen or a restaurant. These are rustic in style and were purchased at a traditional French brocante market, it could also be used for quails eggs or devilled eggs.  These are hand fired in a kiln and as such there will be variations in the colouring which would be described as an amber brown. This set has 5 that are very similar and a 6th one which looks to have been from a different kiln batch so it is a little more speckly in design, although exactly the same size and design. One has a darker patch in the middle as shown.
