Foil Dispenser, Wall Mounted Cling Film Holder, Vintage Rustic French Kitchenware (A27)

This is a traditional ceramic and wood foil or clingfilm dispenser in a vintage style marked on the base as by G.F fait main (hand made). This likely dates from 1970/80s, maybe a little earlier. This is quite an unusual design where the ceramic top lifts off from the wooden body thereby covering up the foil or cling film. The roll just sits inside the unit rather than on a wooden rod. It has a row of small teeth for tearing off the foil. This would look great in any country style, farmhouse or vintage inspired kitchen. It is in a good used condition with no cracks. just a few light marks from its previous life.  NB: The wood is a little darker than it appears in some pictures due to the light at the time of photography. This was bought at a traditional French brocante market; this pattern of ceramics is very popular in France and widely collected on the continent.
