4 x French Rustic Ceramic Escargots Plates, Vintage 12 Hole Snail Dishes (A92)

This is a set of 4 vintage ceramic escargots serving dishes with side handles. Each of these vintage dishes is made from a yellowy brown colour ceramic stoneware and holds 12 escargots (snails). They could be used for serving cooked snails or are often used for quails egg dishes. These were purchased at a traditional French brocante market and would suit a retro style kitchen, farmhouse kitchen or would be great in a French restaurant or bistro. These are in a good used condition as shown with some of the usual casting flaws and a small nibble as shown, usual for these older pieces of charming French tableware. All the items we sell are used or vintage and will show signs of a previous life. This is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal.
