Vintage French Enamel Kitchen Jug, Garden Planter, Antique Bathroom Pot (A34)
Vintage French Enamel Kitchen Jug, Garden Planter, Antique Bathroom Pot (A34)
This is a lovely French white and blue enamel irrigator or douche, now ideal as a kitchen storage pot or garden planter. These vintage enamel pots were originally used as irrigators but are now widely collected and used as planters or as kitchen or bathroom storage pots. As the back is flat with a hole for hanging on a wall or shed and it has a built in spout, these type of vintage enamel pieces are particularly good as planters and would add a vintage country cottage feel to any garden. They also make a quirky shower caddy for a vintage style bathroom. This was purchased at a traditional French market. As shown in the photo this is in a vintage condition with signs of wear and tear. This is 23cm high and the diameter is 13cm. Capacity is 2 litre, this one has the makers stamp on the base. All the items we sell are used or vintage and show signs of a previous life, this is part of their unique French shabby chic appeal. See our website vintage shop selling over 300 unique, vintage and up cycled French finds for your home and garden including more of these planters, all sourced from markets across France.
