Copper Kitchen Taps, Brass Belfast Sink Taps, Brass Vintage Style Taps, (T41)
Copper Kitchen Taps, Brass Belfast Sink Taps, Brass Vintage Style Taps, (T41)
This is a beautiful pair of hand made copper and brass taps, water pressure tested. These have chunky 22mm copper pipework, 3/4 inch brass taps and fittings. They are much sturdier and have a chunkier feel than my 1/2 inch taps. These come supplied with 6 fitting screws and would look fabulous with any Belfast sink or alongside the French copper and brass bathroom/kitchen basin sinks on my other listings. These have been well made and have a nicely polished finish. These have a standard 15mm copper pipe fitting below making them suitable for kitchen sinks and bathroom basins. These may not be suitable for some baths as inlet connections can be different. Check with your plumber or message for advice if these are intended for a bath. All the taps we sell are rustic in design and do not have aerators so the flow of water is a continuous stream similar to that of an outdoor tap.
🚰 FITTING: All the taps we sell are fixed by screws from the top, not from a nut underneath, so may not be suitable for a quartz, granite, slate or marble top. They are suitable for wooden and laminate worktops. Please check with your fitter or message for advice before buying any of our taps if you are unsure. Check out our online shop for unique French copper basin sinks made from French copper jam pans. These taps are also available in a slightly different style made with thinner 15mm copper and 1/2inch taps, see tap section. These can also be made to measure at no extra cost, please see listing Made to Measure taps
⏰ DELIVERY TIME: is usually 5 working days after purchase as all our taps are made to order. If these are urgent please contact us before buying and we will do our best to accomodate. Still got QUESTIONS❓- See our most FAQ section below

❓FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS❓
Can I buy this as a single tap?
-Yes you can. For just one of these please see the following listing Vintage copper and brass tap
If these are unsuitable, can I return them for a refund?
-Yes, if these are unsuitable we are happy to accept returns as long as the taps are unfitted and in the original condition. However, as these are made to order, rather than a stock held item, we are only a small business so would appreciate if you could be as sure as you can before ordering and would encourage you to ask for advice if you are unsure in order to keep our costs and losses to a minimum.
These measurements are not suitable for me, can these be made to my own measurements?
-Yes, these taps can be made to measure at no extra cost. Please see listing Handmade Copper and Brass Kitchen Tap,
Do you sell any other style of copper and brass taps?
-Yes we do. See the Copper Sinks and Taps section of our shop where you will find 4 or 5 different styles including single and pairs of pillar taps, more wall mounted taps as well as a beautiful mixer tap in copper and brass.
What size are these taps?
-Please see measurements on the photographs in the listing for exact sizes.
What size is the water inlet pipework for these taps?
-All our taps have the standard 15mm water inlet pipework, this is the pipe below the counter where the water is connected. Although this has exposed 22mm chunky pipework, the inlet is still 15mm.
Can these taps be fitted directly into a basin or sink?
-No, these taps do not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. They are designed to fit onto a countertop. They are fitted by screwing the brass base into the top of the counter using the screws provided not from a back nut underneath.
Are these taps suitable for a bath?
-These taps will be suitable for some baths, although they are generally sold for basins and sinks as they have a water inlet pipe which is 15mm. Some baths, particularly in older houses have a water inlet pipe of 22mm. Please check with your plumber or fitter if you are unsure of your pipe size if you are buying these for a bath.
Can these taps be fitted to a quartz, slate or marble type counter top?
-We would not recommend these to be fitted to this type of worktop as they are fitted and secured from above with screws, not from a back nut below and these type of countertops may not be suitable for the small drill holes required. We only recommend these for wood and laminate surfaces. We are looking to develop a tap for these types of tops but this is still in the design stage.
Can these be fitted in a camper van?
-Yes these can be fitted in a camper van, we have sold many of these for camper van and horse box conversions. Camper van pipework is usually smaller than standard 15mm so you will need to use a reducing fitting to join these to the inlet pipe. These are readily available at any plumbers or DIY merchant.
Can I use these as outdoor taps?
-Yes, these taps are suitable for outdoor use.
How do I connect these to my water inlet under my sink or basin?
-These are sold as complete tap fittings which have the standard UK 15mm copper pipe (tail ends) attached below the counter where they are fitted. Your water inlet pipe can be attached to these tail ends by soldering, compression fittings or push fit fitments.
How often will I need to polish my taps to keep them shiny and what should I use?
- Copper and brass are metals that naturally tarnish over time if left unpolished. A quick buff up every week or 2 will keep it shiny. We use Brasso wadding to keep our taps shiny. This is available at most supermarkets. Rub some wadding over the taps, let it dry for 15 minutes and buff it off with a yellow duster. If you would prefer the more rustic natural brown patina of copper then leave them unpolished and this colour will develop over time.
When will my order arrive?
-All our taps are made to order with a usual dispatch time of 5 working days after purchase. Please contact us via online contact form or via live chat before buying if your order is urgent and we will do our best to accommodate.
I have another question or I need some more advice about what tap to buy, can you help?
--Yes we can. These are made by Martin, our production partner, who is a gas engineer and plumber. He is more than happy to answer questions regarding tap size, style and fitting. We are often out of the country or in a noisy workshop so rarely hear the phone. The quickest way to contact us is through the website live chat (you will be speaking to a real person, either Martin or Louise, not a chat bot!) or our online contact form. If you would like a call back please leave your contact details. Alternatively, leave a message on our answerphone at 01772 494985 and we will call you back.
