Pair of Brass and Copper Belfast Sink Taps, Farmhouse Kitchen Traditional Sink Taps (T54)
Pair of Brass and Copper Belfast Sink Taps, Farmhouse Kitchen Traditional Sink Taps (T54)
This is a beautiful pair of handmade copper and brass taps which have been water pressure tested. They have chunky 22mm copper pipework, and 3/4 brass tap heads and fittings. These are much sturdier and have a chunkier feel than our 15mm taps. These are supplied with 6 fitting screws and would look fabulous with any Belfast sink or alongside the French copper and brass bathroom/kitchen basin sinks in our online shop.
All the taps we sell are rustic in design and do not have aerators so the flow of water is a continuous stream similar to that of an outdoor tap.
FITTING: As these taps are fixed by screws from the top, not from nuts underneath, they will not be suitable for a quartz, granite, slate or marble top; this is suitable for wooden and laminate worktops. Please check with your fitter or message for advice before buying if you are unsure. These have been well made and have a nicely polished finish. They have standard 15mm copper pipe fitting below,
NB. These are suitable for standard UK kitchen sinks and bathroom basins. They may not be suitable for some baths as bath water inlet pipes are not always 15mm, check with your plumber first if you are buying these for a bath.
DISPATCH time can vary. It is usually between 3-5 working days but as we travel back to France regularly during the Summer months it can occasionally be up to 15 working days. Please see estimated delivery date and contact us before buying if they are urgent as we can often dispatch within 48 hours when we are in the UK. See our website for a wide range of over 20 different styles of taps and upcycled copper sinks and basins.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I buy just one of these taps, I don't need a pair?
-Yes you can. For a pair please see this listing - Single swan neck tap
I would like to buy more than the number of taps listed as available. Do you have any more than the listing shows?
-Yes we do. We limit the number of taps on each listing in order to keep to our dispatch times but we do have at least 6 of each style of tap ready to make. Please contact us if you want to buy more than the number available and we will increase the listing
Can these be used as monobloc mixer taps?
-These are single feed taps so cannot be used as a monobloc. There is one each for hot and cold
If these are unsuitable, can I return them for a refund?
-Yes, we are happy to accept returns as long as the taps are unfitted and in the original condition. However, as these are made to order, rather than a stock held item, we are only a small business so would appreciate if you could be as sure as you can before ordering and would encourage you to ask for advice if you are unsure in order to keep our costs and losses to a minimum.
These measurements are not suitable for me, can these be made to my own measurements?
-This style of tap can only be made to the measurements listed. Please see our other listings for a range of taps which can be made to measure.
Do you sell any other style of copper and brass taps?
-Yes we do. See the tap section of our website shop where you will find 4 or 5 different styles including single and pairs of pillar taps, more wall mounted taps as well as a beautiful mixer tap in copper and brass.
What size are these taps?
-Please see measurements on the photographs in the listing for exact sizes.
What size is the water inlet pipework for your taps?
-All our taps have the standard 15mm water inlet pipework, this is the pipe below the counter where the water is connected. Although this has exposed 22mm chunky pipework, the inlet is still 15mm.
Can these be be fitted directly into a basin or sink?
-No, these taps do not fit into basin or sink pre cast holes. They are designed to fit onto a countertop. They are fitted by screwing the brass bases into the top of the counter using the screws provided not from back nuts underneath.
Are these suitable for a bath?
-These will be suitable for some baths, although these style of taps generally sold for basins and sinks as they have a water inlet pipe which is 15mm. Some baths, particularly in older houses have a water inlet pipe of 22mm. Please check with your plumber or fitter if you are unsure of your pipe size if you are buying these for a bath.
Can your taps be fitted to a quartz, slate or marble type counter top?
-No, the taps we make cannot be fitted to this type of worktop as they are fitted from above and these type of countertops would not take the small drill holes required. We are looking to develop a tap for these types of tops but this is still in the design stage.
Can the taps you make be fitted in a camper van?
-Yes all our taps can be fitted in a camper van, we have sold many of these for camper van and horse box conversions. Camper van pipework is usually smaller than standard 15mm so you will need to use a reducing fitting to join these to the inlet pipe. These are readily available at any plumbers or DIY merchant.
Can I use the taps you sell as outdoor taps?
-Yes, all the taps we sell are suitable for outdoor use.
How do I connect these to my water inlet under my sink or basin?
-These are sold as complete tap fittings which have the standard UK 15mm copper pipe (tail end) attached below the counter where it is fitted. Your water inlet pipes can be attached to these tail ends by soldering, compression fittings or push fit fitments.
How often will I need to polish my taps to keep them shiny and what should I use?
- Copper and brass are metals that naturally tarnish over time if left unpolished. A quick buff up every week or 2 will keep it shiny. We use Brasso wadding to keep our taps shiny. This is available at most supermarkets. Rub some wadding over the taps, let it dry for 15 minutes and buff it off with a yellow duster. If you would prefer the more rustic natural brown patina of copper then leave them unpolished and this colour will develop over time.
When will my order arrive?
-All our taps are made to order with a usual dispatch time of 3-5 days. However, this can occasionally vary as we travel between the UK and France regularly between April-October. Please check the listing for an up-to-date delivery estimate. Contact us via our online chat or contact form before buying if your order is urgent as these can also often be sent earlier especially when we are home in the Winter full time. All our taps are posted by Royal Mail Tracked 48 or 24 if urgent.
I have another question or I need some more advice about what tap to buy, can you help?
-Yes we can. These are made by Martin, our production partner, who is a gas engineer and plumber. He is more than happy to answer questions regarding tap size, style and fitting. As we are out of the country frequently or in a noisy workshop where we cant always hear the phone, the best and quickest way to contact us is via the website Live Chat. This is not a chat bot, it is either Martin or Louise. Alternatively you can use the website contact form or leave a message on our answering machine and we will give you a call back
